Here in the UK, we need to be careful about what frequencies we set out radio microphone receivers/transmitters. Even if your radio mic set has 1,400 available frequencies only a few are usable legally without a license. Hopefully this page covers the basics and give some practical advise in using radio microphones.

Names of God Video
Names of God videos are quite popular and very useful for projecting on big screens or walls etc… I decided I’d spend some time making a few loops – I’ll use them myself and I’ll also over them for free for others to download and use however they like… » Read more: Free Names of God Looping Video (High Definition)

I’ve just come across Wordle – it’s a web based program that can make images (like the one here, click for a bigger version) from a load of text – here we have the text from Ephesians! It figures out the most popular word (by count) and makes those words bigger.

(Again, not really video related, but if you have videos or music on a hard disk that is broken, then I suppose this would be relevent!)
A friend of mine has a laptop that won’t boot windows… he took it to a local computer shop and they said they couldn’t fix it or recover the files… This is how I helped him, with the aid of my freezer!

Want to know how to reduce feedback? How to minimise Feedback? How to set up microphones and speakers so as to reduce feedback? – This page will give you some helpful ideas and tips to make things sound nice.
What is Feedback?
Lots of ways to help you reduce audio feedback in your PA system
Feedback is the screeching/squealing/hooting sound heard when there is an accidental loop in the PA system. That is when the sound from a microphone is amplified and fed to the speakers and then picked up again by the microphone, this sound then carries on round and round resulting in the nasty noise. The feedback frequency depends on a number of factors such as: the resonant frequency of the room, distance of microphone and speakers, frequency response of the microphone, characteristics of musical instruments.
To reduce or eliminate feedback this loop needs to be broken, here are a few ways of doing that. » Read more: Reducing Feedback in a PA System
